Latest ski resort reviews

In the last week of January 2008, I spent a week at the Chalet Paradis in Arc 2000 with my girlfriend. We booked last minute with Ski World, and had a great time. I have previously holidayed in Tignes, Val d'Isere and Flaine in France, and I think the terrain on offer in Les Arcs is at least equal to all those. Just back from the Hoff as the locals call it. Lucky enough to catch some fine snow so excellent skiing ! The town is great with a huge ski area - I would recommend it to anyone. The only gripe I have is the much talked about ride up to/down from the ski area. It isn’t ideal but I wouldn’t let it put you off going. If you are early risers, you won’t queue. My family and I have just returned from a week in Zell am See 1st - 8th March 2008, the resort was compact and picturesque with a varied and family friendly apres ski scene. We stayed half board in the Hotel Heitzman a small family run hotel, with a friendly atmosphere, great rooms and first class food.
