Skied all over Europe and this is perfect, quiet & unspoilt. Fabulous for family holidays. Very very rare to queue at the lifts and a huge ski area, good choice of restaurants at 1100 and 700 and 5 mins drive to Samoens if you need variety if you are staying for more than a week. Plenty of off piste right by the slopes so easy for all different levels to have fun close to each other. The old village is particularly characterful. Ischgl! I love it, skiing is great. Snowboarding is even better. You can choose various ski routes, some of them are very easy to handle and some them are a pain in the a... . Overall the ski resort is known for its apres ski, you finish skiing about 4 pm, take the last descent and here you are in the middle of a wild party. A bunch of people gathered around the Kuhstall which means cow stable, here you have one or two or even more Fagertee, which is tea and lots of Stroh rum, 80°…

Just been to Meribel. First 2 days of skiing on Friday and Saturday before the hoards arrived were really good but then, besides the 9-10am slot and then the 12h30-2pm lunch slot, the crowds took over on our last 2 days. Couple of really good runs like Combe Vallon and The Face if you got their early in the morning. No serious off piste to speak of due to lack of fresh snowfalls and us being beaten to the punch earlier in the week. The really ridiculous thing though was the cost of…
