Ischgl heeft (samen met samnaun) een geweldig skigbied. Voor elke soort skiër zijn er genoeg mogelijkheden. Het skigebied is erg groot en afwisselend. Het is voor nieuwe skiërs noodzakelijk om met een skikaart het gebied te verkennen. Verder heeft ischgl een stijlvolle sfeer. Er lopen veel mensen rond die gezien willen worden en het aantal 4 en 5 sterrenhotels is in Ischgl enorm. Ook zijn er vrij veel dure winkels. Verder kent Ischgl een geweldige apres ski en ook 's nachts hoeven de gasten zich niet te vervelen. De prijzen zijn betaalbaar en (zoals het filmpje doet vermoeden) niet veel hoger dan in anders skigebieden. Ischgl is een echte aanrader!

Loved this place, usually go to St Anton and this was as good. Very easy to find pistes that were empty, especially on the swiss side. Accomodation in Galtur was excellent and very reasonable price. Ski bus took us to ischgl in 5 mins and run every 10 mins, perfect place to stay. Only negative, and a minor one, was there was no gift shop in Ischgl, plenty in Samaun though. Apres Ski in Trofana and Kuhschel was great and packed, v. friendly.

Ischgl is pure class. Apart from the slopes, the snow and the views (all top notch), Ischgl has the best apres-ski on the planet! I've been to some of the best that North America has to offer, I've been all over the Alps and Ischgl's slope side party is head, shoulders and breasts above the rest. Ski straight to the Ice Bar in front of the Hotel Elisabeth at the end of the day. Get a seat at the bar and order about 10 delicious continental beers (weissbeir) and just start movin' your body when the DJ cranks it up! After an hour of two, when you've arranged to meet up with the beautiful dancing girls at the niteclub later, go and clean yourself up and have a good meal. Of course this is extre

Ischgl is one of Austria's well-kept secrets, a smallish village by the side of a small mountain road, 25km from the autobahn, but giving access to a vast area of pistes and extensive runs of all grades. We went for the day in February - a Saturday, half-term and sunny, but we never had to queue for more than a minute or so during the day. All lifts look brand new, are fast and efficient, and move people up the mountain to where the skiing begins. We covered a fraction of the total available, and would definitely recommend it as a resort for up to a week. Most skiing is above the tree line, pistes are wide and open, and signposting is good. Wij zijn dit jaar voor de 4e keer naar Ischl geweest. Hebben nu pas het idee alle pistes gezien te hebben, inclusief Samnaun.Wij vinden het een geweldig gebied. Zijn hiervoor naar diverse andere plaatsen geweest in Oostenrijk, waaronder alle plaatsen in het Zillertal en in het Ötztal. Ischgl spant de kroon. Dat het wat duurder is dan andere plaatsen snap je wel als je ziet hoeveel pistes daar fantastisch worden onderhouden. De apres-ski is goed. Wij zaten zelf in een appartement in Kappl. Dan houd je de verblijfskosten een beetje laag. We denken er nu wel over volgend jaar ergens in Italië ta gaan skiën, maar moeten we ons over oriënteren.
