Kaprun reviews

A charming village with a good choice of accommodation and restaurants. Kaprun is the friendliest place we have been to in Austria, the locals can do enough to help and make you feel very welcome. We loved the lively apres-ski bars in Kaprun at the bottom of the Maiskogel and the Pavilion in the centre, both with great atmosphere, lively crowds and friendly staff. Prices seem surprisingly good value with a large beer costing 3.5 Euros in the town or on the mountain. Whilst not ski in-ski out there is a wide range of skiing from gentle to some serious off-piste. The Kitzsteinhorn offers great powder potential and is as high as any of the top French resorts.
