Wonderful conditions at Fügen/Spieljoch, superb hospitality with a personal touch. Great place with good variety. Not too busy. The Spieljoch gondola takes you up to the top where you can stay all day, or do the longest valley return run in the Zillertal (a 7km red) which takes you all the way back to the village. For almost 8 years we visit Schruns like once or twice a year. Schruns is part of the Montafon arena. It provides solid skiing. The snowcondition is one of the best in Austria. The slopes are not as crowded as in Ischgl or St. Anton for example. There are great off piste runs in Hochjoch and Gargellen. The atmosphere here is great. It's the alpine charm combined with nice apres ski. I strongly suggest giving it a try.

A perfect resort, with a good mix of slopes for mainly beginners, and intermediates. The three ski areas of i)Kitzsteinhorn with the glacier skiing above Kaprun, ii) The Maisikogel where you can ski down into the centre of Kaprun, iii) The Schmittenhohe above Zell am See with fantastic views over the lake at Zell am See and beyond. There is further skiing in Saalbach and Hinterglemm in the next valley along, and the Gastein Valley is only half a hour away by car. Good and short…
