Awesome place, great crowd-free pistes and some off piste action. Drive up would get boring after a week but amazing, especially in avalanche season! Real high mountain feel, go for a pizza at Andreas's in Feichten on way back. Reasonable prices, you can always go to Fendels for a change.

A truly luxury resort, literally ski to door but make sure you pick a hotel in the centre, fabulous top class hotels and cusine. Not many shops, mostly hotels and a few good resturaunts. Very good friendly service everywhere we went. We did a white week which includes the lift pass, very good value for money as this resort goes out of most peoples reach around Christmas and new year weeks. As beginners, we found the blue runs at the top of the Festkogl lift quite challenging at first…

Zell am see is a beautiful spot with gentle skiing - perfect for older skiers like us and very good for families with young children! There is just enough for the kids to learn in safe conditions! You can even ski on the glacier in nearby Kaprun. although we never have. Apres-ski was quieter than we expected but this suits us just fine.
