Located at northern most extremity of the Southern Alps, Serre Chevalier consists of three strung out villages namely Chantemerle, Villeneuve, and Le Monetier-les-Bains. The area is located just below the Col de Lauterets and stretches to within a few kilometres of Briancon. Arrival airports are either Grenoble (2 hours transfer) or Turin (1.5 hours transfer). Ik ben samen met mijn vriendin de 2e week van Januari gaan skien in Valfrejus. We kozen voor het gebied omdat de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding erg goed was en we niet zo'n groot gebied nodig hadden omdat het voor haar de 1e keer skien was. Het dorp is goed te bereiken en de ligging van 1550 meter is gunstig voor de dalafdaling. verder ligt het middelstation (en 80% van de pistes op dezelfde hoogte of daarboven) op 2200 meter wat vaak een grote hoeveelheid sneeuw oplevert. Spent week the week of 15th to 22nd March in Zell am See. Stayed in Hotel Daxer which was excellent – good food, friendly staff, and very convenient to the Schmittenhohe lifts. The new TrassExpress lift is fantastic and there were no queues, meaning we could get to the top of the mountain with virtually no waiting at all. We had plenty of snow during the week, resulting in very good skiing conditions particularly on the upper slopes, with plenty of blue and red runs to keep…
