Great nightlife / apres ski with sking that is satisfying enough for an intermediate but also allows the confident beginner to explore much of the ski area. Plenty of restaurants on both sides of the slopes which means not having to wait around for food and beers. Great bar at bottom of slopes at Elisabeth Hotel and also at bottom of slope behind the Trofanna Hotel .
Three lifts from Village to main skiing area means no hanging about and lifts in ski area seat enough people so queing at a minimum.

The skiing area is excellent, the lift system is the best ive experienced and the accomodation is first rate. It gets very busy coming off the hill at the end of the day. Very, very busy with mixed ability coming down. Better to stay up the hills and ski as much as you can and then get the bubble down or ski after 4.45. Nightlife is mental. Totally bonkers. No Brits. Just Germans and Austrians singing Europop.

The skiing is generally very good, saying that I didn't find anything too testing in the week I was there. It's mostly blues, reds and slightly steeper smooth reds marked as blacks and above the tree line the runs can get a bit samey. There are however some nice tree lined runs back to the mid station which break it up. A good skier will ski it out in a week. Be careful of the return runs home, as these can get busy and mogul-ridden. Take the gondola back if in doubt. Ischgl is not a cheap resort as a rule, but some things were cheap if that's not a complete contradiction! Resort drinks can be expensive, self service restaurants on the mountain offered reasonable prices and huge (shareable)

Just returned from a week of skiing, love this region. It has slopes for all levels. Ischgl is maybe not the most ideal resort for small kids or families.
The village is very nice, and has nice shops, but they are pricey.
Apres ski is available in all shapes and forms too. Great nightlife, many beautiful people. Going again next year!
