Madonna di Campiglio has a lot to offer for a resort of modest-size: top-notch mountain restaurants, award-winning grooming, classic black pistes and Italy's best terrain park. The town is a charmer too. More specific I enjoyed the tree-lined pistes from Pradalago back into town and loved the high standard of piste preparation. Furthermore the scenery is great - there's a real mix of geology here, so it's never boring to look at!
What I did not like was the the lack of off-piste. Much of the surrounding land is National Park, and therefore off-limits. And last but not least the long, linear layout of the town. Try to book a hotel near a lift to compensate.
