Whilst Tonale offers lots for the beginner and improver on the wide open mountainside slopes, those wanting more challenging skiing in some nice tree lined runs should use the linked resort areas of Ponte de Legno and Temu which is mostly all reds and blacks. This for me was the best skiing available in resort, the black run from the glacier is also quite good fun as was the initial red at the top of the glacier but Temu and Ponte were better and had charm and character.
The restaurant at the top of Ponte near the T bar lift offers fantastic on piste food at amazingly good value and is well worth the trip over that way alone.
Overall I was very impressed with every aspect of this holid
