Third time I have been to Zell and while this year the snow was in short supply we still had a great week (also attending our friends' wedding at the Grand Hotel). The resort is very friendly and lots to do, and this was our first time with our baby we did not feel we missed out at all. I would recommend Zell to beginners and intermediates or those who do not want to ski all day every day. A great resort atmosphere and good apres ski.

Just got back from an interesting week of skiing in Zell, Jan 20-27. This is the second time Ive been skiing here. Last year the snow was fantastic. A very nice 4 star hotel up the valley and away from the main centre. A great hotel with excellent food and a very friendly staff. Plus the best part was the ability to ski right to the door. This year, however, was a c

The slopes themselves were brilliant, enough mild blues to keep the beginners and lower intermediates happy, a mix of wide slopes, tree lined runs and beautiful views, some great reds on the south side where all the sun was, and some more testing blacks into the town. the option of going to kaprun was also good as it gave us a change of scenery for a day, although the landscape isnt as beautiful as zell, the views were amazing, and despite the abundance of t-bars, the shallow blue slopes were good for practicing your technique. if you are out for lunch on the slopes, wed recommend the breiterkalm - a lovely local restaurant in a sunny position, friendly staff and excellent food - all the ski
