Arolla - Its at the end of a long windy road, with right-angle turns, no crash-barriers and 200m s, but its worth the drive. 4 1/2 km of button lifts drag you up to 3000m and a fantastic view. The great thing is they drag hardly anyone else up! It is so uncrowded, with good pistes, though the best bit is that the locals dont seem to want to ride off-pistes. Fine by me! This is an intermediates resort with a slow and un comfortable lift system and limited/confusing piste markings. The experienced will find there way around in a couple of days but I wouldn want to learn to Board or Ski in this resort. For the Skiing alone Id give it 8/10, include the lifts and its 6/10 add the resort itself and Id give it 4/10 as theres nothing to do except drink. Ik kom al 10 jaar naar Mayrhofen, moet zeggen dat het er alleen maar beter op geworden is. Nieuwe grote liften etc. waardoor e wachttijden aanzienlijk verminderd zijn. De lift in mayrhofen zelf is altijd zeer druk, probeer daarom bij de Horbergbahn of bij Finkenberg omhoog te gaan, daar is het minder dringen geblazen. Verder is natuurlijk de gletsjer een grote aanrader, geen wachttijden en niet druk net als het nabij gelegen dorpje Lanersbach, dat met de Penken verbonden is. Qua…
