San Cassiano is an undiscovered gem - i love it. It is a small traditional village with access to miles and miles of skiing. I just love the Dolomites and San Cassiano is a delightful gateway to the masses of skiing around the Sella Ronda. You can ski over to Arabba...and the Marmolda glacier and if you've set off early enough countinue round the whole of the Sella Ronda circuit.
The lift system is quick and efficient, bubbles having replaced chairs in several places, meaning queues magically disappear and you are quickly skiing again. And what skiing! Just the best! Well prepared runs and because of the diversity of those runs, they are uncrowded or even empty.
