Some pistes can get very conjested (maybe because it was Hahnenkamm week - not sure), but there are plenty of quieter runs - try the Kitzbuheler Horn and Jochberg areas. Run 26 (a nice easy blue) is great to do first thing in the morning (picturesque and completely empty); plenty of blues for the beginners; run 23 is nice easy black (very wide piste on the steeper section) for those who starting out on black runs. Loved this place, usually go to St Anton and this was as good. Very easy to find pistes that were empty, especially on the swiss side. Accomodation in Galtur was excellent and very reasonable price. Ski bus took us to ischgl in 5 mins and run every 10 mins, perfect place to stay. Only negative, and a minor one, was there was no gift shop in Ischgl, plenty in Samaun though. Apres Ski in Trofana and Kuhschel was great and packed, v. friendly.

Zermatt is een prachtige wintersportplaats! Een super skigebied met veel mooie rode pistes (ook wat blauwe voor de minder geoefende skiërs) en prachtige vergezichten! Het gezellige dorp heeft mooie winkels, heerlijke restaurants en een super uitstraling. Après-ski doe je vooral op de dalafdalingen naar het dorp. In het dorp zijn wel wat leuke tentjes maar daar ga je niet snel in skikleding naar toe. Matterhorn skiparadise en de doorsteek naar Breuil-Cervinia zijn geweldig!…
