Just got back from a week in Les Deux Alps (26/1/08) with ten mates. The resort was fantastic, skiing was great, snow conditions couldn't have been better even with the warm weather. The lift system was fast and efficient with minimal queues. Stayed at Les Cret in the town centre with Skiworld. The location was perfect, hotel basic but clean, the food was a bit of a surprise, great food, the staff and the manager were also great. Would recommend. An absolute must is the day away trip…

The Glacier provides a snow sure holiday. When the conditions are right (which is most of the winter) there are so many off-piste possibilities. The village offers, probably the best beginners slope available and small children have several areas in which to learn as well. As an alternative the area of Zell am See is a short bus ride away and offers a large variety of skiing. Zell is a larger town and nosier/livelier than Kaprun. Dec 2007 2nd week: Ischgl off-piste skiing rocks and is now on my list of top 2 ski stations in Europe - 5 continuous days of 1-3ft consistent pow. Freshies nearly every run...500m tree lines to carving GS turns in 2ft of powder down classic 1000m big mountain open terrain.
