Saalbach reviews

The skiing area runs East-West. The consequence is that one side of the valley is always in the shade whilst the other is always in the sun. The skiing is superb. The slopes are well prepared and unusually, the piste-bashers carry on running day and night. Additionally, most of the pistes are covered by snow-cannons. Many of the slopes are covered in pine trees and tree-line skiing is much the order of the day. There are miles and miles of fabulous off-piste for powder hounds. Despite this, surprisingly, snowboarders are in the minority here. Time after time we found that insufficient thought had been given to connections between ski areas.
