How the snow reports are compiled

Snow depth information is compiled from SkiWeather.eu reporting, ski resorts, national meteorological services, satellite observations and other trusted mountain sources. Inputs are normalised to improve consistency between resorts and elevation bands.

Reports are typically refreshed between 08:00 and 15:00 CET during the winter season. Snow depth and lift status can still change between source updates.

SkiResort Representative Network

Tourism boards, mountain companies and alpine organisations can submit official snow and weather reports directly through the SkiResort Representative Network. These local observations help improve forecast validation, detail and timeliness.

Interested organisations can apply to become an official SkiWeather.eu snow reporter.
