It is a very nice resort, with beautifull and cheap swimming pools. It is not to high but it offers nice sloaps, and beautifull scenery. The top is at only 1910 m high , but it has enought snow to ski . The food is very good, and it is very recomandable for a familly trip. Enyone can enjoy that place. The longest slope is 10 Km, and it goes from the top 1910, to bottom at 950 m in Tauplitz, or at 800 m in Bad Mittendorf. But if you want higher, or longer sloaps , you go someware else.

Now live in Tauplitz and own small hotel (<a href="http://www.pensionraunigg.com" target="_blank">www.pensionraunigg.com</a>), thought the resort would be too small for experienced skiers to enjoy - wrong! Off piste and tree skiing is excellent (often waist deep powder!!) and safer than most places. Tauplitz might not have the km of skiing of larger resorts but has a modern lift system and no queues and offers something for all abilities from beginner to advanced whether skier or boarder. The lift pass also covers you at 3 other resorts that are all good and worth a trip to. I think Tauplitz is one of the secrets of the Austrian Alps
