Tijdens de krokus in Pralognan en Vanoise geweest. Pralognan is echt anders dan de vele dorpen waar ik eerder ben geweest. Allereerst is er twee maal per week een echte markt. Net zo als zomers in veel Franse dorpen. Dat geeft al aan dat het om een echt dorp gaat en niet een ski-station. Het is een zeer levendig dorp veel met terrassen, winkels en ...auto's. Een drukte zoals je niet snel ziet in wintersprtdorpen. Volgens het VVV is 90% van de toeristen Frans en komen er maar zelden Nederlanders. Wij spraken er een paar en zagen een handvol Nederlandse auto's. Tussendemiddag eet je in een van de twee originele restaurantjes op de piste (er zijn er 3 plus een creperie) of in het dorp. Pralogna

Pralognan may be a little smaller than the larger commercial resorts nearby, but it more than makes up for it with its other charms. The slopes are top quality, with some nice challenging blacks for the adventerous, varying right down to plenty of easy snow for the beginner. Prices are reasonable, and ski rental is easy - there are four or five places to buy or rent equipment in town, all of which will go out of their way to ensure you have the best gear they have. The views are stunning, and the frequent wildlife (mostly chamoix, foxes, birds and squirrels, with the occasional ibex) easy to spot even near the slopes.
