Apres ski hot spot of Tyrol! This little town is popular with young people from Holland, GB and lately Eastern Europa because it has a lot of pubs and bars in town and on the slopes. It reasonably priced for it's hotels and guesthouses. It is not as chic and populair as it's neighbour Kitzbuhel, but a whole lot more charming. They do share the same skiarea. It's quite big too! The slopes are mainly easy reds. There are three different gondola and chair lift stations: two just outside Kirchberg, and one near the center.

Little charming resort close to Kitzbuhel. The 3.5km 3S bahn connects the Penkenstein mountain top to Jochberg, Pass Turn and beyond. Pass Turn has some nice black slopes (Zweitausender). In between there are beautiful cruising tracks.
Neighbouring Kitzbuhel has an excellent selection of reds, and of course the famous Hahnenkahm.
Kirchberg is very lively for such a small resort. Lot's of Apres Ski.
All in all a great destination to keep you busy for at least a week!

Has the obvious benefit of being able to ski the Kitzbuhel ski area without having to pay the Kitzbuhel prices. Small friendly resort, has plenty of everything you need to enjoy a weeks skiing. Added bonus of now having a link up the valley across to Westendorf giving it a much greater variety of runs for all standard of skier. Try the nightskiing on a Thursday/Friday night. Awesome. Had the fortunate position of skiing on the Gaisberg over the New Year with the American Female ski team who base themselves in Kirchberg for the Winter. It helped when we also had Bode Miller along training. All in all if its good enough for him...

This is a small, typical tyrolean village with a massive skiarena in it's backyard, as part of the Kitzbuhel skiregion (close 180km of slopes!). Compared to Kitzbuhel it is more catered to young people. It has more than it's share of pubs and apres-ski bars. You should try the onslope bar Oberkaser, and actually all other pubs you pass on your way down to Kirchberg village at the end of the day. The skiregion is diverse. Just above Kirchberg, there is a very compact bowl with some challenging reds and blacks. At the other end of the bowl you can take the 3s bahn to the rest of the skiregion; all the way to Pass Turn. There you will find a mixture of nice and easy blues and reds. Some nice cr
