Nendaz is located within the quatre valleys but the connecting lifts are somewhat underdeveloped. To get from Nendaz to the other valleys required a button lift. In general the ski lifts were so easy to use and the views were just absolutlety outstanding with loads of snow and skiing.
The skiing and the resort people were very friendly and welcoming with everything geared for the skiing and snow sports. There was a very good travel system available in Nendaz and excellent places to eat out, bearing in mind when you have been on the slopes all day you don't feel like going far. Bars are plentiful, I can think of twenty immediately. Apres is not like Austria but there is plenty of it. Live m

The skiing around the village of Nendaz itself isn't that great, with Plan d Fou being the only run of note. However, the skiing from Siviez is fantastic and links easily to the rest of the 4 Valleys and Verbier. Being at the centre of the 4 Valleys, it's also possible to explore the quieter areas that are less tracked than Verbier. Nendaz has some brilliant freeriding terrain, mostly around Mont Fort, Tortin and Col dGentiens. All in all, a fantastic ski experience providing a cheaper alternative to Verbier but allows you to get to the top of Mont Fort faster than if you were in Verbier anyway.

Nendaz is the best value resort in the 4 vallees and enables quick access to the whole area via the bus or car to Siviez - if you don't care about the nightlife at Verbier this is a great place to stay. The run into the resort can be sketchy if the snow is not great, the ski link to the rest of the area is weak at best - but if you want to access the brilliant off piste of this area, effectively skiing out of Siviez every day is the best way - spend what you save by not paying Verbier prices on a guide and you'll have a brilliant time.

I love Nendaz, and this is the third year I have gone back. As with anywhere, when the snow is good the pistes are fantastic and as we go late in the year (April) I am always amazed at how many pistes are open. The only time I have ever queued for a lift was on the Verbier side, so now tend to stick to Siviez and Nendaz. It is such a relaxing place to ski. There are some really good restaurants in the town which is only ever a short walk away. The Vieux Chalet is a hidden gem and is well worth a visit. Taverne L'Alpee is a first night favourite for fondue and the owner now recognises us - which is always nice! The ladies at Tour St Martin (who we hire the chalet from) are brilliant - nothing

We loved Nendaz so much last season despite the lack of snow that we bought a chalet here. The friendly locals have made us very welcome, there is a fantastic fantastic restaurant called Hameau Les Cleves, the village is great, the skiing is awesome. You should be aware that slopes for beginners are very limited, it is not the best resort if you have never skied before.
