Alpbach reviews

If you need a lot of variety in your skiing, then I would not recommend Alpbach, if you need a relaxing holiday with skiing available, then it is an ideal choice. We stayed at the Galtenberg's Hotel. Hotel was outstanding, could not fault it. Gondola was approx. 250 m away and was never busy. Fortunately a few more pistes were opened up midweek, which provided a little more variety, but even so any competent skiier would have covered the area in a day, quite easily. The runs down to the villages were not suitable for beginners as they were all reasonable reds, so access was by gondola back down the mountain.
