I have been to Les Gets for 2 separate weeks, and a further day whilst in Geneva, and I love it. It has a lot of basic runs, but Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil are easily accessible to push yourself a bit more. The town itself is very nice, and has some good restaurants. Although short on nightlife, the Irish bar, and the Canadian one above, are both great fun. I have always been there in large groups, so we can make the party wherever we are, but if you're a non-family, small young group, you may find it a bit quiet.

Les Gets is pretty and when we visited was relatively quiet. There are a number of bars and a couple of discos and clubs. Les Gets forms part of the Portes du Soleil- a collection of 14 French and Swiss resorts which offers over 650km of runs. The majority of runs in Les Gets are intermediate but there are also some good blacks for those looking for a little more adventure. There were enough good runs to keep us happy for our trip, although I think we would have ventured out of the resort if we'd been there any longer as we pretty much covered all the slopes in that time. Overall I would highly recommend Les Gets to anyone looking for some good intermediate skiing in a fairly quiet resort. T

Great little resort linked to large ski area. Les Gets is a typical old Savoyage village. Its charming centre offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars. The ski area is absolutely perfect, the nature is overwhelming
Given the choice I'd stay in Les Gets and enjoy the sunshine at the variety of slopes at La Rosta and La Turche.

For a quiet holiday and/or a short break it's hard to beat Les Gets - maybe Megeve is the only other resort near to Geneva to give Les Gets a run for its money. Would recommend this resort to families and all levels of skiers.

Great family resort. Plenty of piste variety and good mountain restaurants. The town itself is relatively quiet and could do with a swimming pool but it's a pleasant size. Not a great base for exploring the Portes de Soliel as it is a bit of a drag through Morzine to Avoraiz but it can be done if you're keen enough. This year there were feet of snow in the town so the skiing was fantastic but it would be a risk in warmer conditions as it is so low.
