Les Deux Alpes is one of the more major southerly ski areas in the French Alps. As well as a world-class ski area and a lively resort base, a Les Deux Alpes holiday gives you a bigger than usual choice of off-slope activities and extensive shopping and nightlife. ...

This resort always has good snow fall, the snowpark is outstanding (particularly in the summer) and the slopes are perfect for all levels. On top of that the town itslef has a great atmosphere. The locals/staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are an endless amount of places to eat, be they beautiful restaurants or cheap take-aways. Finally, the nightlife is fantastic. Go to Secrets bar or the Polar Bear and you can fail to have a great time. ...

I can say that Les 2 Alpes is the best of all resorts out there. We had great skiing conditions during the second half of march. Plenty of slopes to keep us entertained for the week and there were no big queues at any of the lifts, not even at the weekends. Some very good blues and reds to contend with from the glacier all the way down to Les Cretes. After that to get to the resort you have to take a black or a long and boring narrow green. The only down side to 2 Alpes is that all the greens are very narrow and can get quite busy at the end of the day.
Was quite pricey to eat and drink on the slopes. All in all, a great resort and worth checking it out. We would go again without doubt. ...

Les 2 Alpes' mountain is great for beginners because it has a reverse gradient. You get to ski/board right at the top which beginners don't necessarily get to do. As a beginner skier or an unsure boarder, you can't go all the way to the bottom, but a gondola ride down can be quite welcome after a long hard day's riding. Les Deux Alpes is purpose built and lacks character, but there are some good restaurants and bars. I especially recommend the Blue Salmon for good food and friendly service. ...
