Scheffau is one of Austria's biggest ski resort. You can ski for days and hardly ski the same piste twice. The lift system is excellent, hardly a tow in sight and almost never a lift queue of more than a couple of minutes. It is a boarders paradise with no tows and loads of areas to play in. Despite the attrocious snow fall across the whole of Europe, Scheffau has maintained its pistes with its excellent snow making facilities and hard working piste bullies. Scheffau is not a party town, but Soll and Ellmau are only minutes away and provide as much party as most can cope with! Overall, SkiWelt deserves its award for Europe's best Ski Resort.

Scheffau is a very different type of Austrian Ski Holiday. Far from the large towns and bars Scheffau is a village that is still Austrian. The Apres Ski is limited to a series of home run bars and a small Austrian pub in the main village. Other activities, well worth doing, are avalible locally. The Ski school is excellent and is especially good for the l

Skiwelt is Austria's BIGGEST linked ski resort. Whilst it might not challenge advanced skiers, for most it is superb. Scheffau is a little quiet, but not everyone wants apres ski until 3am. If you're looking for a family holiday in a village with charm and character and very easy access to the slopes, Scheffau is beautiful.
