We did a season in Verbier but keep going back to Nendaz each year - Easy access from Nendaz into the rest of the 4 valley ski area with good skiing for all abilities. The views from Nendaz across the Rhone valley are stunning. There are some lively bars and some good traditional restaurants for a quieter more cultured evening. Very friendly people, good ski school. When the snow is poor they have good snowmaking facilities and keep a good proportion of the runs open. When the snow is good its heaven with fantastic powder runs which keep their condition long after Verbier's are tracked out. Favourite run - Mont Fort to Siviez Summary - get the best of Verbier's skiing without the snobbery or

Nendaz is a growing and friendly resort. We found the resort was best suited to adults and teenagers but not young children. Its true that Nendaz isn't the prettiest resort, but the linked ski area to which it is part of is fantastic, and getting about (as anywhere once you know where you're going) is easy. We found the links to Verbier very do-able. Yes a couple of the lifts probably need updating but there is a vast area to discover and some great red runs. Skiing/Boarding in Nendaz is good for novices but can get very busy in feb with ski schools.

My wife and i skied nendaz and the 4 valleys last season for the first time. I was lured there on recommendation from a friend. We rented a small apartment for the week but to ease the cost on saturday flights we flew out a few days early. We booked into mira lodge for a couple of days and can only mention positive remarks about the hosts and the acommodation. Nendaz in general was a nice experience with great views, good skiing and nightlife which i didnt expect.
