Mall friendly resort with good clean hotels and good basic food. Lifts are out of the village and buses are generally fairly full. Facilities to leave skis and boots at Pendelstein lift are a bonus (). Some bars and good restaurants available - can recommend Asado's - a good resort from which to visit Kitzbuhel which is very expensive. Biggest problem is transport around the mountain; large lift systems have been installed but are fed by smaller systems giving rise to huge queues which is very frustrating - even the new 3S lift across to the Jochberg area means using a ridiculous t-bar on the way back! Snow conditions were managed very well this winter giving good runs in the mornings.

I have visited this charming village several times. it is situated close to kitzbuhel, but it is less hectic here. the downside is that there are no cable ways in kirchberg itself, other than slow chairlifts. you have to travel a few kilometers out of town by bus to the fleckalmbahn (in-between kirchberg and kitzbühel) or the pengelstein i station (other end of the village). the skiarea is quite large as its slopes extend from aschau, kitzbühel, jochberg, all the way to pass turn. the slopes are mainly qualified as easy-going (reds and blue), with some challenging blacks. the snowcondition is generally fine because there are few sunfacing slopes. as the surface does not consist of crushed ro
