Ich hatte das Gluck, Belalp mit ein paar guten Freunden kennen- und schatzen gelernt zu haben. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein relativ kleines (ca. 40 pistenkilometer) und günstiges Skigebiet im eindrucksvollem Wallis, direkt am Aletschgletscher mit Blick auf das Matterhorn und das Monte Rosa- Massiv. Nichts desto trotz ist hier für fast alles gesorgt: neben den weitläufigen Powderhängen auf ca. 3300m gibt es einen wunderbaren Park mit einigen gut gepflegten Kickern, ungefähr 15 Rails jeder Bauart, einer Quarter und einer Pipe, die aber nichts mit einer Superpipe von Laax oder Garmisch gemein hat. The “secret tip” among the ski resorts of the Wallis region offers lots of sun, great snow-security and a spacious area with 60 km of slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. You find this resort at an altitude of 1322 to 3100 m. The 160 m long ski tunnel on the Hohstock opens up a paradise for lovers of deep snow, snowboarders and riders. Fun is guaranteed – also in the “Play Country” for children or on the 7 km long toboggan-run, starting at the mountain station of the cable car down to Blatten. You can also rent toboggans from the Belalp Bahnen.
