Well organised bus > train > bus links from Klagnefurt. Nice valley/people. Plenty of sunshine. No snow at all in Feb 2007 but the machines ensured good ski-ing on the major pistes that were kept open. Gondolas take you to the top of 3km runs with lots of routes to explore. Challenging as you want. Slopes get crowded at weekends with day trippers and so are mangled and icy on Monday. Lift passes expensive. Ski equipment hire and service brilliant. Going back this year to try the black slopes and newly opened Klammer FIS run.
