I have been here several times. Sorry I do not get it. Gstaad has had a element of the jetset attached to it for years, but for what reason? You may think Gstaad has this shiny golden name where celebrities and only rich people are gathering. This is just during a short period of time. The rest of the year this a quiet village with all these fancy shop that you also find in Geneva or Zurich. The selection of restaurant is limited and the places are mainly very expensive: i.e a soup ...

Alpe Lusia-San Pellegrino- Falcade together is a medium sized ski resort. This area is really good for intermediate and beginner skiiers. There are a few good black runs too. There are many wide and scenic slopes that was a pleasure to ski. No real bottlenecks at the lifts even though we visited when the resort was completely full. The ski school is good and lots of activities for kids and beginners. A few good bars and restaurant at the base and on the mountains. There was excellent ...

Argentiere, along with its neighbouring Chamonix Valley ski resorts, is best suited to progressive intermediate and advanced-ability skiers and snowboarders, and is a magnet for expert freeriders. The main local slopes include some good mid-altitude red and blue pistes plus a handful of steep black runs, but the biggest draw here is the surrounding off-piste terrain and the exhilarating routes around the Glaciers de Lognan/Argentiere which are accessed via the separately-ticketed ...
